ATF's Surf Forecast

Hello, this is your surf forecast as of

Wednesday, 5:12pm

Forecast:       

An area of Low Pressure has formed over the Carolinas and is forecast to push up the coast Thursday!  SSE wind swell in the 2'-3' range may develop late in the day!  High Pressure will begin to build in Friday from the SW.  Saturday and Sunday minor frontal systems are forecast to pass through.  Winds are forecast to be from the WNW Saturday and Sunday..  Minor 1'-2' waves are expected.  Monday and Tuesday two quick areas of Low Pressure are forecast to push off the Carolina coast and move East.  As of now, no major swell is forecast!  However, it is still early and I am sure this will change!

Wednesday afternoon:

Small choppy 1' waves. Light onshore winds..

Thursday:

Light onshore winds early will give way to SSW winds early afternoon.  By early evening winds may turn more WSW.  Minor 1' waves are expected early.  We could see a slight bump in the late afternoon, maybe 2' or so from the S.

Friday:

W winds are forecast 5-15mph through most of the day!  Some beaches will be fun with 2'-3' sets through most of the day! 

Saturday-Sunday:

Minor 1'-2' waves are expected as of this report with WNW winds!  If anything changes we will let you know!
